Bruces Walk at Bullaburra

Tuesday 21 July 2015

I have just finished writing and preparing the layout of Volume 2 In The Chert Bubble series. And the forecast was for a fine day so I headed to the Blue Mountains and walked a section of Bruces Walk on the north side of Bullaburra. This was opened in 1931 and basically follows the route of the 66kv Railways power line from Blackheath to Lawson. Whereas the power line crosses valleys in straight lines the walking track zigzags up and down. I found my way to Claire Glen and then got mixed up on the return to the main track. My problem was that I forgot about the side creek. Anyway I saw more of the country as I went cross country eventually picking up the main track further east. I hope to get back soon to explore other sections.
